Masterclass by Patricia Rommel at the Tbilisi International Film Festival

 

Patricia Rommel, one of the most successful film editors in Germany, is holding a one-hour masterclass at the Tbilisi International Film Festival, where she will give insights into her experience in editing Hollywood films. The masterclass is held on Friday, December 6th, 10 am in the Amirani Cinema, Hall 4. 

Patricia Rommel worked amongst others with Michael Hoffman (The Last Station) or Angelina Jolie (In the Land of Blood and Honey). Two of her edited films were awarded an Oscar: „Nowhere in Africa“ by Caroline Link and „The Life of Others“ by Florian Henkel von Donnersmarck. She has been teaching at several German film schools, and altogether has edited more than 50 feature films and television projects.

The masterclass is organized in the framework of ADAMI Studio, a film editing counseling workshop for fiction and documentary projects that deal with topics of cultural diversity, minorities, migration and peaceful coexistence. ADAMI Studio is organized in partnership with the Tbilisi International Film Festival and Georgian Public Broadcaster, and is held in Tbilisi, Georgia, Dec 5-7, 2019 for Armenian, Azerbaijani and Georgian participants.
